đź’¬ Guests Say
- Nurturing Facilitators: Guests often describe Sharon, Sandra, and Ino as “loving souls,” with one Reddit reviewer calling them “indispensable” for their compassionate support during ceremonies.
- Transformative Depth: Many highlight the week-long format with three ayahuasca ceremonies, noting it provides “clarity for integration” and lasting change, unlike single-dose experiences.
- Oceanfront Serenity: Visitors frequently praise the Cancún oceanfront villa at Casa de La Tortuga, describing it as a “healing sanctuary” with the Caribbean Sea’s energy enhancing their journey.
đźš© Incident Report
After a thorough investigation across multiple platforms—including Reddit (r/Ayahuasca, r/Psychonaut), Quora, Facebook groups (“Psychedelic Healing,” “Ayahuasca Experiences”), news outlets, retreat forums, ICEERS reports, and official records—no verified incidents of theft, sexual misconduct, or crime directly linked to Bluestone Ayahuasca were identified.
- Theft: No guest reports or public posts on forums, social media, ICEERS data, or news sources mention stolen valuables or items at Bluestone Ayahuasca.
- Sexual Misconduct: There are no documented allegations, complaints, or legal actions against Bluestone Ayahuasca’s staff or facilitators in online discussions (Reddit, Facebook), news archives, or ICEERS resources. While sexual misconduct is a noted risk in the broader ayahuasca retreat community, no specific cases tie to Bluestone Ayahuasca.
- Crime: No evidence of police reports, arrests, or violent incidents associated with Bluestone Ayahuasca surfaced in Google News, Mexican media, retreat forums, or ICEERS findings.
Bluestone Ayahuasca maintains a clean online reputation with no reported incidents of this nature, supported by positive testimonials on their site bluestone-ayahuasca.com and Reddit reviews (e.g., a 2023 post on r/Ayahuasca). While general risks (e.g., oversight issues) are discussed in the wider ayahuasca community, including ICEERS safety research, nothing specific to Bluestone Ayahuasca appears in public records or discussions.
🔍 Critical Notes
Their strict medical screening—excluding those on antidepressants or with mental health issues like schizophrenia—shows a commitment to safety, though exceptions are vague and could lack clarity for potential guests. However, the limited third-party feedback (mostly on their site and Reddit) raises transparency concerns, and their shift from jungle to beach venues (noted in 2021 Reddit posts) isn’t well-documented, potentially confusing attendees expecting a jungle setting. The legal status of ayahuasca in Mexico remains a gray area—while culturally accepted, it’s not explicitly legal, posing risks if authorities intervene. Potential guests should confirm current venue details, integration support, and legal considerations directly with Bluestone to ensure alignment with expectations, especially given the high emotional stakes of ayahuasca work.
