Headquartered in the Amazon rainforest near Iquitos, Peru, AYA Healing Retreats provides our attendees with professional retreats throughout the year. The majority of our retreats are located here in Peru, where our professional staff and well-appointed accommodations offer our retreat attendees with everything they need to experience the best possible ayahuasca retreat. We are currently in our eighth year of operation and have been host to hundreds of wonderful people who have journeyed from around the world to experience the transformative ayahuasca process.

Our most popular and most frequently-held retreat is our 11-day Ayahuasca Retreat and Master Plant Dieta. After years of learning from the indigenous Peruvian curanderos who work with our attendees, we have come to understand that an 11-day retreat is an appropriate balance of time that accommodates peoples’ yearly schedules, provides time for travel, and most importantly allows for more than a quick in-and-out experience.

We also host one or more 11-day retreats throughout the year which emphasize a theme of well-being which complements our traditional ayahuasaca retreat modalities. These retreats sometimes have a theme based on a focal point of the traditional therapeutic practices of the native Amazonian healers with whom we work, such as our 11-day Noya Rao Voice of Light retreat. Our 11-day Kambo Practitioner Trainingteaches best practices for all steps involved in the humane and appropriate collection and admininstration of kambo medicine.

In addition, we host a limited number of longer retreats and courses, usually lasting between 21 and 28 days. Our Divine Feminine Retreat focuses on the love, grace, courage, and humility found in ancient feminine practices. Our limited Shamanic Initiation is an in-depth cleansing, dieta, and practical study under the tutelage of a Shipibo curandero.

On occasion, we also host plant medicine retreats in locations around the world. These limited edition retreats are exciting for all involved and often give access to plant medicine treatments to those who are unable to travel to our normal retreat center in Iquitos.

Whether you have just recently found interest in ayahuasca or are well-acquainted with its transformative effects, we are excited to welcome you to your retreat. Our booking calendar provides you with all upcoming retreats, with more dates published progressively.

If you’re still learning about plant medicine and want to know more, we invite you to browse our learning area to understand much of the language and practices involved in ayahuasca and plant medicine.

And if you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to reach out and contact us. We’re happy to clarify any questions you have.

WISDOM OF THE INDIGENOUS ELDERS

The Indigenous peoples of our world have lived in harmony with the natural environment for thousands of years. The wise elders of these traditions have much to teach us about our role as custodians of the earth and about the central importance of spiritual growth to a life lived well. Learning to take only what we need, to waste little, to honour our ancestors, to listen to our bodies and to the natural world are but some of the teachings these wise elders can share with us. At AYA Healing Retreats, we recognise the sacredness of these teachings and we draw from this generational wisdom passed down through the centuries to offer a powerful, authentic and life-changing healing experience.

We are blessed to have our curanderos / curanderas bring their expert knowledge of sacred plant medicines to our retreat center. Their primary role is to guide participants in directing the energy flow of the plant medicines, paving the way for a profound healing experience.

I approached Aya Healing Retreats with high hopes of profound change, and while the ceremonies delivered powerful emotional bursts, my overall journey was inconsistent. The setting is undeniably magical—a deep connection with nature that instantly pulls you away from daily distractions. I experienced moments of pure clarity and intense vulnerability, yet I often felt that the integration process was too generic. Group sessions sometimes moved too quickly, leaving me to grapple with intense revelations on my own. While the raw potency of the medicine is impressive, the uneven follow-up left me with lingering uncertainty about how to incorporate the insights into my life. If you’re willing to navigate some unpredictability for the sake of potent healing, you might still come away with valuable lessons—but be prepared for an experience that isn’t fully cohesive.

Attending Aya Healing Retreats was like boarding an emotional rollercoaster that both terrified and thrilled me. The retreat’s setting—immersed in nature’s wild beauty—immediately took me out of my urban headspace. The ceremonies were brutally honest, unleashing a torrent of emotions that forced me to face my hidden truths. The facilitators were sincere, though I sometimes wished for smoother transitions between sessions. A few practical aspects—such as a bit more variety in communal meals and slightly improved resting areas—could have elevated the experience. Nonetheless, I walked away with memorable insights and a renewed passion for life. For those ready for a raw and unfiltered journey into healing, this retreat offers an experience that’s as challenging as it is transformative.

Stepping into Aya Healing Retreats felt like entering a timeless sanctuary. The moment I arrived, I was struck by the natural beauty of the space—ancient trees, gentle streams, and a quiet that wrapped around me like a warm embrace. My first ceremony was a breathtaking cascade of emotions; I found myself reliving cherished memories and releasing long-held pain in a way that felt both profound and healing. The facilitators guided us with a deep sense of reverence and genuine care, making every ritual feel personal and sacred. I left with a lighter spirit and a newfound clarity that continues to shape my journey every day. This retreat isn’t just a pause from life—it’s a transformative rebirth.

My experience at Aya Healing Retreats was deeply transformative—if a bit uneven. The natural setting is absolutely stunning, a lush refuge that instantly quieted my overactive mind. The ceremonies were powerful and helped me confront and release emotions I’d suppressed for too long. However, while the group integration sessions provided moments of shared vulnerability, I often felt that my individual breakthroughs deserved more one-on-one guidance. At times, the transition between intense sessions and group discussions felt rushed, leaving me with questions on how to fully integrate my revelations into daily life. Despite this, the healing I experienced was undeniable, and I left with a clearer vision of my inner self and the tools to move forward.

I came to Aya Healing Retreats burdened by years of inner chaos and a heart full of unspoken grief. From the very first ceremony, I felt the raw, unfiltered energy of the place—there was no sugarcoating, only deep, authentic healing. One session had me overcome with a tidal wave of tears and unexpected laughter as old wounds were gently coaxed into the light. The facilitators, with their intuitive and compassionate guidance, made me feel like I was finally seen and understood. Every detail, from the ritual setup to the intimate integration circles, was steeped in authenticity. I left with not only insights into my own soul but also a profound sense of renewal that I carry with me every day.
