đźš© Incident Report

After an exhaustive search across the web—Reddit (r/Ayahuasca, r/Psychonaut), Quora, Facebook groups (“Psychedelic Healing,” “Ayahuasca Experiences”), news sites, retreat forums, ICEERS reports, and official records—no verified incidents of theft, sexual misconduct, or crime specifically tied to Ziru Yai were found.
  • Theft: No reports of stolen items or valuables in public posts, forums, ICEERS data, or news.
  • Sexual Misconduct: No allegations, complaints, or legal actions against Ziru Yai’s staff or facilitators surfaced on Reddit, Facebook, news archives, or ICEERS resources. While broader ayahuasca retreat risks exist, no Ziru Yai-specific cases were documented.
  • Crime: No police reports, arrests, or violent incidents linked to Ziru Yai appeared in Google News, Colombian media, retreat discussions, or ICEERS findings.
Ziru Yai’s online reputation remains free of such incidents, though general ayahuasca risks (e.g., unregulated settings) are noted in the community at large, including ICEERS research on retreat safety. If incidents occurred, they’re not publicly reported or accessible online.

🔍 Critical Notes

Ziru Yai’s $1,500-$2,000 retreats in Colombia’s Amazon deliver a transformative Yagé experience, with ancestral Taitas earning high praise on ayaadvisors.org for authenticity and care. The jungle setting deepens the journey, but limited online visibility and reviews raise questions about consistency. Ayahuasca’s legal status in Colombia is generally permissive, yet remote locations pose logistical risks—confirm facilitator credentials, safety protocols, and travel details directly.

It is with reverence that we extend this personal invitation to receive the profound healing ways from the indigenous lineages and mysteries from the Colombian Amazon Jungle.

Yage, or ayahuasca, is a sacred medicine from the Amazon rainforest.

It consists of a mixture of two native plants: Banisteriopsis caapi and Diplopterys cabrerana. Its preparation takes place in the jungle, and requires several days of cooking over the heat of the fire grandfather and embraced by sacred prayers that traditional yagé elders perform to achieve their purpose of healing, and healing for humanity. This medicine can bring a lot of clarity, light, harmony, and love into your life when it is guided in a respectful way by the Taitas, or medicine men, who carry the ancient tradition of their indigenous tribes.

Ayahuasca has been going through a massive expansion. It should be observed that there are those who share the medicine with the knowledge, the permission of traditional communities, and the studies that are appropriate in order to administer it to others; but there are also some who unfortunately, while well intentioned, administer it without the preceding preparation, forgetting or neglecting all of the mystery that has allowed for the profound study of this sacred plant by way of our ancestors. This can be, and has been counterproductive in the processes of those who take the medicine without knowing or understanding how the adequate approach should be. As such, when one decides to take part in ceremonies, it is for this reason and of significant importance to be well informed about the people who conduct them.

(As a cultural comparison, traditional medicine doctors in the Amazon who are “licensed” to serve yage undergo a training and apprentiship process as rigorous, intensive, and controlled as licensing for Western surgeons.)

According to the traditional indigenous worldview, Yage medicine can bring with it the spirits of the entire universe, plants, animals, trees, and water. It can also connect us with different energy dimensions and do healing in each of them. Physically, it can transform toxins, diseases, and discomfort, into vitality, well-being, and health. It can connect us with our emotions, freeing us from conflicts and negative thoughts that we have had in the past, transforming them into happiness and harmony with ourselves and all our relationships. It also encourages us to connect with the essence of our spirit and the openness of our hearts to the service of humanity.

This sacred plant can lead you to a deep understanding of your life, opening a spiritual awakening and benefiting your physical and mental health.
