🔍 Critical Notes
Niwe Rao Xobo is a traditional Shipibo medicinal plant healing center,
fully run by Maestra Ynes Sanchez and her family
We focus our work on the traditional uses of medicinal plants and trees found in the Peruvian Amazon.
Offering authentic ayahuasca ceremonies with master plant dietas, our mission is to heal,
transform and align you to your soul’s path

A strong master plant dieta allows you to establish and nurture not just a deep connection with your own spirit, but also with the plant spirit you diet, that will become your ally, guide, and protector in life.
In addition to healing deep-rooted pains or obstacles, our maestros work with the plant spirits to uncover people’s true potential and imprint cleansing vibrations on the auric field. This powerful energetic work continues to grow and reverberate in your life long after you leave, which often results in deep transformations.
Master Plant Dieta
In traditional Amazonian shamanism, the master plant dieta is a process in which the dietero enters isolation in the rainforest, adheres to a very limited diet, and ingests and cultivates a relationship with a plant to learn the teachings and healing modalities that the spirit of this plant has to offer.
Here at Niwe Rao Xobo we have curated a journey that allows you to step on to the path of the dietero, to access the ancient and eternal wisdom of the master plants and allow them to reveal that same wisdom within you.

Our 14 Day Plant Dieta includes:
– Detailed information on pre-post diet requirement
– Five ayahuasca ceremonies
– Guided communion with one master plant (chosen from seven master plants we offer)
– Extra plant remedies for physical illnesses
– Herbal saunas if it supports the healing process
– Facilitators with experience of holding space and deep knowledge of the Shipibo medicine system
– One-to-one processing sessions with a facilitator during the dieta
– Post-integration guidance
– Option for post-integration follow up calls
We have witnessed the dieta support those that:
– want to heal trauma, psychological or emotional blockages
– clear ancestral karmic patterns
– want to heal deep-rooted fears and doubt
– feel uncertain about their purpose
– feel disconnected from their inner-self and intuition
– desire re-energising and more focus on their life path
– want to align to their souls path or hearts calling
– are energy workers
– want to explore the nature of their consciousness
– feel compelled to heal the earth
– want to deeper connection and communication with nature

Maestra Ynes
Maestra Ynes is the beating heart of our center. Coming from an ancient lineage of healers extending back 200+ years, Ynes is one of the last female healers in the region that can heal on the highest spiritual level, Onanya, in the Shipibo healing cosmology.
A healer of her caliber will have dieted the most powerful master plants for years at a time. Some of Ynes’ longest dietas have extended to two years where she had to follow strict restrictions on food and human interaction. Over the past 55-years, she has dieted in the jungle on numerous occasions in complete isolation.
Having apprenticed under her great-uncle, great-grandfather, and grandfather, among other healers in her family, Maestra Ynes is a highly regarded and powerful lady of light and a loving matriarch in her family. She is the foundation of our family which continues to learn and expand as a healing center of renewal and reconnection.

We offer a complete medicinal plant healing journey that aims to heal trauma, psycho/emotional and physical issues and obstacles, on both a physical and spiritual level.
We curate our dietas with care and attention to each participant’s specific needs, to guide you with the right plant and offer additional treatments you may require.
Our Care
From the seven main plants with which we work, a specific master plant is chosen for each participant that supports their unique healing and growth.
To promote a strong and beneficial diet, we work with plants on both a physical and spiritual level. In addition to the ayahuasca ceremonies and master plant dieta, our maestros may treat participants with any long-standing physical illnesses with plant remedies that support and nurture the deep work with the master plant and ayahuasca.

Facilitators at Niwe Rao Xobo have developed an intimate and trusting relationship with us and serve as an important communication bridge to make sure participants have a full understanding of the dieta process and the Shipibo medicine system.
Facilitators will act as linguistic and cultural translators and interpreters for any communication needs between us and our guests as well as generally supporting and caring for participants in the ceremonies and in the day-to-day.
Facilitators
Our facilitators have many years of experience working with the medicine: dieting within the Shipibo system; with our family and supporting participants with diverse backgrounds and healing needs. They help us to hold a safe and compassionate space for participants to go deeply into the work with the plants and meet the joys and challenges of the dieta process.

Our family of healers offers an incredible wealth of
ancestral knowledge that has been passed down for generations
We are a unique Shipibo healing center that it is fully run and operated by Maestra Ynes’ family. Every member of our family takes on their specific role of service with great care, and our work is offered with love and gratitude for the medicine and plants that guide our life. Our family creates a safe space for participants who have never been to the Amazon and/or participated in a dieta, and nurtures your journey of self-discovery with full integrity. We feel honored to take on the responsibility of this important work.
Our Center

Our work is guided by the plant spirits, and by the gifts, they weave and share –
we are guardians of this wisdom and it is our joy to be able to offer a space in
which you can grow and both, you and the plants can connect
We have been growing our center since 2016 on our family land, steadily building more facilities
and accommodation, in a rustic and natural environment, striving to be as eco-conscious as possible
.

Our home and the land of our birth is situated near the Shipibo town, San Francisco, 45 minutes from the Amazonian city of Pucallpa
Natural Living
Our wooden cabins, ‘tambos’ are built with traditional and eco-friendly techniques. The tambo is the guest’s little rustic kingdom nature home, where most of their inner-work takes place, and where they can fully immerse in the experience of jungle life in a simple, yet comfortable way. The stripping back from electricity and other modern comforts promotes a healthy and tranquil environment to cultivate deep inner-self reflection. The more still we become, the more we can hear the plants speak.

Maestra Ynes has been planting her medicinal garden over the years
where you will often find her sourcing plants to make her medical remedies

Reviews
I was a combat corpsman in the Iraq war. When I was medically discharged from the military in 2009, I had a lot of PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I reached a breaking point where I had to find a way out of the darkness I was stuck in, or my life was going to end. Thankfully, by working with Aya and through dieting master plants at Niwe Rao Xobo, I’ve found a way out of my suffering. I’ve been coming to this center for two years now. I keep returning because the family of Maestros and Maestras here have so much love to share. They’ve helped me change from a cold mechanical soldier into a warm, soft, loving human being. I’m deeply grateful to Maestra Ynes, Maestro José, and Maestro Isaias. Niwe Rao Xobo is a family-run center built on love and integrity. I highly recommend coming here if you’d like to take your healing to the next level. Blessings.
I have had two dietas at Niwe Rao Xobo. They have made a huge impact in my life. Maestra Ynes and Maestro José take such good care of everybody, and the love they pour out is enormous. I felt safe and looked after all the time. It is not easy to put words on an experience like this. The healing and teaching through plant medicine go way beyond any other treatment. It is magical and profound, and the importance of doing it in a safe environment is essential. They know what we need, where we are, and how to guide us through any difficulty. I do recommend Niwe Rao Xobo for everybody that looks for a safe place to do their healing work or to expand their knowledge of who they are.
I visited Niwe Rao Xobo with high hopes for healing and personal growth. The setting is undeniably beautiful, and the healers, especially Maestra Ynes, are deeply knowledgeable and compassionate. However, I found the experience challenging due to the lack of modern amenities. While I understand the emphasis on traditional practices, a bit more comfort would have made the stay more pleasant. Additionally, the language barrier made it difficult to fully understand the processes and intentions behind certain ceremonies. I believe with a few adjustments, such as improved facilities and bilingual support, the experience could be more accommodating for international visitors.
I had the privilege of attending a retreat at Niwe Rao Xobo, led by the wonderful Maestra Ynes and her family. The authenticity of the ceremonies and the dedication of the healers are truly commendable. The center is nestled in the heart of the Amazon, providing a genuine connection to nature. The accommodations are basic but comfortable, aligning with the traditional experience they offer. The only area for improvement would be the communication prior to arrival; a bit more clarity on the schedule would have been helpful. Nonetheless, the healing I received was profound, and I left with a renewed sense of self.
Niwe Rao Xobo is not only a safe place but a holy place built with dedication, love, and ancient wisdom to help us find our way back home—to ourselves—and become whole again. I don’t want to make this sound like a TripAdvisor review. I just want to say that the plant diet is the real deal. For me personally, it was like hitting a big reset button. The environment is serene, and the facilitators are genuinely caring. My only suggestion would be to provide more information beforehand about what to expect during the dieta. Overall, a transformative experience.
