The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is known as ‘el corazon del mundo’ or the heart of the world, it boasts the highest coastal mountain range in the world, being recognised as the 2nd most biodiverse place for species of birds in the world!  Expect to see the snow-capped mountains from the beach, it is home for many species such as the Toucan, Hummingbird, Guacamaya parrot and howler monkeys. 

Extra optional activities include:

An optional Ayahuasca ceremony (paid separately from the retreat)* with an experienced Colombian female shamana who has over 20 years of experience, consultation before and after the ceremony included. (Price 800,000 cop)

An optional Rapé ceremony, Rapé is amazonian tobacco based medicine applied through the nose. It is used to connect to our physical body and to our ancestors, there are over 33 different types of Rapés each with different medicinal properties. Please feel free to ask us for more information! La Cumbre is a jungle and mountain resort located with incredible views of the Caribbean sea, it offers a variety of options of accommodation (from shared dormitories to private apartments). Surrounded by the Sierra Nevada jungle and just minutes walk from crystal waters and a natural swimming pool, it resonates peace, connection to nature, and is the perfect location for your retreat. Your Private apartment has a private bathroom and a private balcony with Catamaran net, you have full use of the facilities. Full laundry service available. Expect to have the river and beach to yourself with an incredible view of an untouched coastline lines with Palm trees and in the distance snow capped mountains! 10 minutes from Palomino. Palomino is a lively beachside town, expect artisan jewelry, indigenous woven mochilas, live music and salsa. Many artists and musicians live here, making it a very lively and creative place, there’s always something going on! The reception can easily organize safe transport to take you there and back. There is an uphill walk of 7 minutes to arrive to our scenic location, we can arrange for your luggage to be taken up.

We work in sustainable tourism, our objective being to represent the Sierra Nevada mountains and Caribbean coast of Colombia with its rich and diverse culture. We work with locals and have the honor of collaborating with the local indigenous towns of the Sierra Nevada mountains. We work with ancestral healing practices from all over the world.

La Cumbre is a tranquil jungle resort with increible views of the Caribbean sea. Surrounded by the Sierra Nevada jungle and just minutes walk from incredible wild swimming in Rio Palomino, our resort resonate peace, connection to nature and are the perfect location for our 7 night Ayahuasca retreat. Expect to see Toucans, hummingbirds and hear the howler monkeys! The resorts boasts proximity to the local town and stunning beaches (5 minute drive to town and a 20 minute walk to the beach). It offers comfortable relaxing communal spaces and extensive gardens and a natural swimming pool meaning that you’ll have the perfect balance of alone and shared time.  Because the resort is an ECO resort it is advised to charge electrical items during the day, due to some of our locations relying on Solar Panels , electricity 100% of the time is not guaranteed. The perfect opportunity to be in the present moment.

Just a 10 minute drive to Palomino. Palomino is a lively beachside town, expect handmade artisan jewelry, indigenous woven mochilas (Hand woven bags), live music and salsa. Many artists and musicians live here, making it a very lively and creative place, there’s always something going on!
