Sexual Misconduct: A Reddit post (r/Ayahuasca, September 2023) detailed an incident where a shaman named Jorge, hired by Marosa, allegedly touched a guest inappropriately during a ceremony and later touched the reviewer’s pelvic bone in her tambo, claiming to heal her stomach. The reviewer reported this to facilitator Jordan, but no further action was confirmed. While broader ayahuasca retreat risks exist, this Marosa-specific case raises concerns.

🔍 Critical Notes
Retreats start every Sunday and Wednesday. You may stay for as many weeks/months as you would like. If you are curious about ayahuasca and/or master plant diets, a week (ayahuasca only) and 11 days (ayahuasca and diet) will introduce you to the beauty of Amazonian plant medicine. Our center is more of a revolving door with patients staying for different lengths of time for their specific issues rather than organized large groups. Since plant diets require deep introspection and time spent with yourself, groupings of people don’t play as big of a role here at our center.
-
Master plant diets are given to those staying for 11 days or longer
-
Phone interview must be conducted before final booking
-
Guests are encouraged to arrive in Iquitos the night before their retreat starts
Ceremonies are at 7:30 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Breakfast (8:00 am) and lunch (12:00 pm) are served everyday.
Dinner is served at 6:00 pm every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Plant diets and other Medicines/therapies are typically served at 4:00 pm when needed.

Food
When you are dieting a plant(s) or tree(s), you are making a commitment to opening yourself to the intelligence that lies beyond your normal perception of reality. Thus, it is important to keep the body in a neutral state. We provide nourishing meals three times a day and twice a day when ceremonies are taking place. The food provided is nutritious. However, we abstain from using any salt, spices, fats, oils, dairy, and sugar. We provide guests with chicken, fish, eggs, rice, potatoes, vegetables, legumes, oatmeal, some fruits and plantains. If you are interested in dieting with the traditional dry Shipibo diet, it will be more difficult but provide a deeper connection to your plant(s) that can be made available. If you have dietary restrictions or want to eat the dry Shipibo diet, please inform Tony so he can relay that information to the kitchen.
