🔍 Critical Notes

Kuny Noya, near Iquitos, offers a culturally rich ayahuasca retreat, lauded on Best Retreats and Quora for its spiritually moving Kuna ceremonies, safe environment, and immersive jungle setting ideal for reflection. The Kuna elder-led approach adds authenticity, but the absence of current dates and recent reviews raises significant concerns about whether the retreat is still active, potentially indicating closure or a focus on private groups. Verify operational status, facilitator credentials, and travel logistics (e.g., Iquitos transfers) directly, given Peru’s nuanced ayahuasca regulations and the retreat’s remote, traditional setup.

Experience the transformative power of traditional plant medicine in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Join our young shaman and his family for an authentic and profound healing journey.

Our Offerings:

*At Kuny Noya, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. To ensure a safe experience, all participants are kindly asked to complete a health screening prior to joining our Ayahuasca ceremonies. This screening helps us provide the best care and support for your individual needs.*

Ayahuasca Ceremony – $200

During the ceremony, you’ll consume Ayahuasca, a powerful plant medicine traditionally used by indigenous Amazonian cultures for spiritual and medicinal purposes. The shaman, accompanied by his guitar, will lead you through the experience with traditional icaros (sacred songs), creating a harmonious atmosphere.

*Three ceremonies per week. Price is per ceremony.*

Kambô Application – $100

Under the careful guidance of our experienced shaman, KambĂ´ is applied in a safe and supportive environment. The treatment involves small burns on the skin where the KambĂ´ is placed, allowing the body to absorb its powerful peptides. This process stimulates a deep detoxification, boosting the immune system, enhancing mental clarity, and releasing emotional blockages.

Rapé Rituals – Included

Our Rapé rituals offer a grounding and centering experience that connects you with ancient Amazonian traditions. Rapé, a sacred tobacco snuff blended with medicinal herbs, is used to clear the mind, open spiritual channels, and promote deep relaxation. The Rapé is gently blown into each nostril, creating an immediate sense of clarity and presence.

Personalized Plant Dieta and Medicine Treatment – $2400/month

This experience involves forming a sacred bond with a master plant chosen for its unique healing and spiritual properties. Guided by Maestro Kuny, you will follow a strict dieta, a period of dietary and lifestyle restrictions designed to cleanse the body and mind, and to enhance your connection with the plant spirit. Throughout the dieta, you will consume specially prepared plant medicines and engage in daily meditations and ceremonies.

*Includes 7 Ayahuasca ceremonies*

Room and Food – $15 per night

You will enjoy three wholesome meals a day, carefully prepared to support your health and well-being. On ceremony nights, we serve breakfast and lunch, but no dinner, to facilitate a deeper, more effective ceremonial experience.

Health Screening and Deposit – $100

To ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests, we require a $50 mental health screening and a $50 deposit. This fee covers the cost of a professional mental health assessment, which is a crucial step in preparing for your journey with us. The screening helps us understand your current mental state and determine the suitability of our ceremonies for your individual needs.

“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it’s a feather bed.”

Kuny Noya is a retreat that does not shy away from the raw realities of inner work. The ceremonies here are intense and unfiltered, compelling you to face your deepest wounds head-on. I experienced moments of profound catharsis and sudden clarity, as if my soul were being meticulously unwrapped layer by layer. The natural setting is breathtaking—a quiet, immersive environment that supports both introspection and connection. Yet, there were times when the transitions between high-energy rituals and integration sessions felt a bit abrupt, leaving me with some unresolved emotions that I had to work through on my own. Although the experience was largely transformative, these occasional gaps in support reminded me that healing is a continuous process. Still, I left with valuable insights and a newfound resilience that I continue to build upon.

Imagine a place where the pulse of nature synchronizes with the rhythm of your heart. My experience at Kuny Noya was exactly that—a profound, sacred journey that reconnected me with the parts of myself I had forgotten. Surrounded by lush landscapes and an ambiance that felt both timeless and gentle, the ceremonies unlocked a cascade of emotions that were as healing as they were raw. One ritual, in particular, made me realize that every tear and every laugh was a step toward a deeper understanding of my inner truth. The warmth of the community and the sincerity of the sharing circles created a supportive space where even the most fragile moments were honored. I now carry with me a renewed sense of purpose and an unwavering connection to the spirit of the earth, thanks to the transformative power of Kuny Noya.

In a world that often feels disconnected from the rhythms of nature, Kuny Noya emerged as a true sanctuary of healing. One evening, amid a cascade of vibrant sunset colors and the soothing whispers of a nearby stream, I experienced a ceremony that unlocked parts of me I’d long kept hidden. The space exudes an effortless blend of tradition and modern comfort, inviting each participant to explore their inner landscape at their own pace. Guided by facilitators whose gentle presence created an atmosphere of trust, every ritual felt like a step toward reclaiming my authentic self. The integration sessions were intimate and deeply supportive, enabling raw vulnerability to transform into lasting clarity. I left Kuny Noya not only with a lighter heart but also with practical insights that continue to inspire my daily life—a truly transformative experience.

Kuny Noya provided an experience that was both powerful and deeply introspective. Set in a picturesque environment that echoes with the sound of nature and quiet reflection, the retreat delivered ceremonies that stirred up emotions I never knew I could face. I was moved by the intensity of the revelations, which allowed me to confront past pain and discover new possibilities. However, while the overall energy was undeniably transformative, there were moments when I felt the follow-up integration was too standardized for the depth of my personal journey. I sometimes longed for a more tailored approach to processing the flood of insights. Despite this, the experience was incredibly enriching, and I now carry a wealth of personal revelations that continue to influence my life. With a bit more personalized attention, this retreat could easily reach a higher level of excellence.

My journey at Kuny Noya was a blend of powerful moments and some disjointed transitions. The retreat’s serene, natural environment set a promising stage for deep inner work, and I did experience several ceremonies that triggered intense emotional releases and flashes of insight. However, I found that the overall process sometimes lacked a cohesive structure; several integration sessions felt rushed or too generalized to truly help me process the profound revelations. I often walked away with valuable snippets of clarity, but the follow-through left me with a lingering sense of unfinished healing. For those who are self-motivated and comfortable with a less structured integration process, there may be significant benefits—but for me, the journey felt somewhat fragmented.
